The Cooloola Coast Youth Activity Project Monday afternoon music program is starting to gather momentum. Participants are enjoying the easy-going format, as well as being able to play with the melody and timing to create some new sounds with old favourites.

Busking at the Cooloola Cove and Tin Can Bay markets has injected a few funds into the new music program; so if you see them having a jam chuck a few coins in! The Humming, Strumming and Drumming music program will be continuing into term three – if you are interested give Jess a call.

The next Sound of Teen Spirit concert will be on September 16. For this event we are considering a preteen section for primary aged youth. All acts are to be live music with no backing tracks. If your child needs backing music played then we may be able to provide the musicians. Act bookings are being taken now.

At our recent AGM our new management was elected, with Jess Milne as President/Secretary and Selina Tarrant as Treasurer. We are always seeking new members so whether you want to be a volunteer, are a parent or just want to support us, apply today.

Membership application forms available from Jess – email cooloolacoastyap@gmail.com or call on 0411 218 254.
