Get active with Surfing

Get in touch with Rainbow Beach Learn to Surf to have more fun in the sun.

Surf lessons are available or school holiday surfing – skating – boogie boarding – stand up paddle – hiking program. You can also choose a SUP tour or just hire a board!

Their Summer Holiday Program is for kids 8-16 years of age, packed with adventurous outdoor activities. Fully supervised and led by their staff, they focus on enjoying outdoor adventures with your family.

Highlights include:

Learn to Surf the easy way – join daily surf lessons at the main beach right in Rainbow! There are kid’s surf sessions, private family or group lessons for 1 – 10 people.

Stand up paddle sessions – take the family for a sunset stand up paddle guided tour.

Surf-Skate Workshops – join a 1.5 hour School Holiday Skate workshop to learn to surf-skate with the SmoothStar skateboards.

Be trained by accredited surf coaches, with Working with Children Check, Senior First Aid, Surf Rescue Certificate, and more.

Visit Tin Can Bay Pool

Tin Can Bay Swimming Pool features a 25m lap pool, a play pool and change room facilities, located at beautiful Norman Point.

Holiday trading hours until January 21 are Monday to Friday 6am – 11am and 1pm – 6pm. Weekends 10.30am – 5.30pm. On public holidays for New Year’s Day and Australia Day the pool is open 9am – 5pm.

Renae McFarlane from the pool advises they have aqua on Tuesdays 5pm to 6pm, learn to swim programs in school terms and squad programs season round.

Outside those holiday periods, hours are 6-10am then 2-6pm weekdays. Weekends remain the same.
