With Covid came restrictions, time constraints and less fun doing all the things people love to do; getting outdoors and living their best lives.

Just seeing the Rainbow Beach Family Fishing Classic on this year, brought smiles to competitors – even though there were no beanies, scarves or fireside chats.

The Rainbow Beach Family Fishing Classic and Expo and the Sports Club would like to thank the community, volunteers, Sports Club team, sponsors and competitors for this year’s most extraordinary fishing competition.

Being able to host the Classic this year also meant that our small community was able to benefit from having so many visitors to our town, which is a huge credit to all the sponsors – the Sports Club thanks you.

Save the date – next year will hopefully be in August – Monday 16 to Saturday 21.

This year we were fortunate enough to be able to give away five tinnies, and it looks like we will be increasing the prize pool by giving away a vehicle at next year’s competition as well. We hope you will join us at the next Family Fishing Classic and Expo in 2021.
