Residents helped Quinn and Lucy with jigsaw puzzles

Years 9 and 10 Engineering Challenge

A number of year 9 and 10 students participated in the USC Engineering Challenge at Sippy Downs. A team of 26 students accompanied by Mrs Louise Masri and Mr David Dorey travelled to the university to take part in a variety of challenges with other schools. The students engaged enthusiastically and learnt a lot from the experience.

1/2 Nursing Home Excursion

As part of a local community excursion, Year 1/2 visited the local Nursing Home (Residency By Dillons).  They viewed the construction site and observed the changes that were occurring in the grounds.  The students enthusiastically read books to the residents and everyone enjoyed solving  some jigsaw puzzles.  The residents expressed that they had a wonderful time.

 

Student recounts:

The bus took us to the nursing home and then we went to the park. We started eating and we were walking on the beach.

Zali – Year 1

On Friday we went to the nursing home. I met Edna and read a book. I gave Edna a Chatterbox.

Lucy – Year 1

On Friday we went on to the bus and we went to the beach and park. I enjoyed the puzzles.

Eden – Year 1 

On Friday we went to the nursing home. We met Frosty and he gave us a picture that he coloured in for us. We read a book.

Quinn – Year 1
