More athletics for July!

Oscar shotputting for Fraser house

by Principal Michael Grogan

The Athletics Carnival is always one of my favourite days of the year. One of the great things about our school is the level of sportsmanship on display from our students on days like Athletics Day.

Every student is supported by his or her peers, to do their best and to keep trying at all times.

I would like to thank all of the staff for making the day run so smoothly. I would like to say a special thank you to organiser, Miss Sauer, and Mr O’Neill and Alice who did such a great job with the score keeping on the day.

In yet another close competition we have seen one of our houses just scrape through for the win. Congratulations to Cooloola!

Well done to our Age Champions for 2016:

AGE GROUP CHAMPION GIRL CHAMPION BOY
9 Years Paige Samson
10 Years Jasmin Nathan
11 Years Annie Clive
12 Years Ruby Charlie

We will be hosting the Cooloola Small Schools Carnival on Monday, July 25 and will see Wolvi, Kia Ora and Gympie East State Schools coming to Rainbow Beach.

This event is for Prep to Year 6 at all four schools participating in both competitive and non-competitive events.
