Celebrating our sensational seniors

Head along to the Seniors Expo on October 23, hosted by Cooloola Coast Residents & Friends Inc. Pictured L-R: Theresa Fear, Jackie Moore, Beth Browne and Lyle Fear
Our fabulous seniors make a huge contribution to the Cooloola Coast region and deserve to be acknowledged.
Through employment, caring, volunteering, grand-parenting, cultural and sporting pursuits, preserving our history, and guiding our future, seniors are vital to our community. There is so much to value and celebrate that what was previously Seniors Week has been extended from this year to encompass the whole month of October.
Seniors Month will provide the opportunity for everyone to celebrate the essential roles older people play in our families and society. The theme for 2021 is “Social Connections”.
During the month of October people of all ages, cultures, and abilities will connect through a series of inclusive events and activities. In short, it’s going to be a connect-fest!
Beginning on October 1, which is the International Day of Older Persons, and ending on October 31, which is National Grandparents Day, the month is a great opportunity for community members of all ages to connect and appreciate our senior population.
Although, of course, we all appreciate them every month!
