The Bushfire Appeal Community Artwork is complete, and has raised $200. The community of Cooloola – Rainbow Beach, Goomboorian and Tin Can Bay have worked with extreme talent.
The five panels tell the story of the bushfires in Australia during 2019 and 2020. Local children, teenagers, adults and backpackers have all had fun working on this artwork project.
Painting 1 depicts the Australian bush before the fires, with the people, flora and fauna normal.
Painting 2 depicts the beginning of the fires, the smoke and small grass fires.
Painting 3 depicts the intense fire, with all life trying to flee.
Painting 4 depicts the blackened scene after the fire.
Painting 5 depicts the regeneration after the fire, with people, flora and fauna returning to normality.
Ann Olive, who has coordinated this artwork, is looking for an appropriate setting for hanging this artwork.
