A very special visitor is coming to Rainbow Beach this month, one who’s guaranteed to make us feel young at heart, both adults and kids alike!

Make sure you haven’t been too naughty this year, as the Rainbow Beach Community Centre has arranged for Santa to bring his belly laughs and beard on Saturday 11 December to our festive region.

This family-friendly free and un-ticketed event will be held at the Rainbow Beach Community Hall and grass area from 3pm, with the star attraction, a certain Mr S. Clause, being in attendance from 3.30pm till 4.45pm.

Kids will be able to line up to have a chat with the big man and let him know all their Christmas wishes, and receive a gift from Santa and a picture with him to treasure.

Special mention must be made to the Rainbow Beach Boomerang Bags group who have worked tirelessly during the past months helping Santa out by sewing the bags and sponsoring the gifts that the jolly man in the red suit will hand out.

As well, another special elf, local talented professional photographer Jess McKenzie, will be on hand to take happy snaps of families and kids with Santa.

And rumour has it the main man has ditched his sleigh in favour of arriving in town by Rainbow Beach Helicopters!

Event organiser and President of the Rainbow Beach Community Centre, Elisa Seul, said: “The main purpose of the event is to bring the community together, share what we do, build that special magic of the holiday season for our kids. Locals and visitors are both welcome.”

School kids will be performing a dance inside the Hall on stage from 3pm till 3.15pm, and then live music will kick-off the festivities outside till 7.30pm.

The day promises to be a highlight of the year here in beautiful Rainbow, as there will be markets stalls, raffles, and food vendors as well.

The organisers give thanks to Events & Tents QLD who are sponsoring the fencing, the staging and helping with the set up.

There will be truly something for everyone, and the event will be a great way to celebrate our wonderful colourful community as we look to usher in an even brighter 2022!
