Rainbow Beach DroughtRunners Report July 2023

Bill Neil’s wonderful collection of handmade wooden toys

This month we have been rather quiet with our donations as we strive to build our reserves as you never know what may be our next major project.

During the month we have sent out $1000 to help feed the homeless in Gympie, coordinated by the hard working Marlene Owen and her team. You will find them cooking meals every afternoon.

Bill Neil’s wonderful collection of handmade wooden toys were delivered to Eugowra Progress Association by our friends travelling back to Victoria. I am sure the kids there that lost everything in the floods will be thrilled with them.

Thank you’s this month to Greg Jones for his $100 deposit and to the anonymous donor of $400.

Wayne Kerle continues to collect bottles and cans and sort them for us. I only help collect in Rainbow Beach from the Breeze Caravan Park, Bill Watt’s, and our bins at 10 Tingira Close. If anyone else requires a bin please let me know.

A big thank you to all that drop in our bins, and to Wayne’s collection points in Tin Can Bay, very much appreciated.

Donations can be left at Arthur’s Dolphin Arcade Bakery, Lees Fishing, Snak Shak, Mitchells Fruit & Veg, Victory Hotel Bottle Shop, Shell Servo Rainbow Beach. Any coin donation is much appreciated.

Once again our bank details are BSB: 124047 A/C 22599186 – Rainbow Beach DroughtRunners. Thank you all.
