Meet the locals – Jan and Noel Goldsworthy
After running a successful Carpet Cleaning, Pest Control and Contract Cleaning business in Warwick for 18 years, Noel and Jan Goldsworthy thought it was time for a sea-change.
Noel said, “We have lived in Rainbow since 2008, and like how laidback everyone is. The beach of course is a huge factor – shorts and thongs are right up my alley.”
Jan said that they both needed to slow down and live a little, and after lots of short breaks here, they knew this was the place they wanted to be long term.
They have two sons, one works in real estate on the Sunny Coast and the other has just left the army after stints to Timor and Afghanistan, but still resides in Townsville.
“When things aren’t too busy, we like to take short trips away in our caravan with our dog Weimy, and we belong to the golf club. At this stage we don’t dust the clubs off to play in any comps, just a very casual hit and giggle occasionally,” said Noel.
They recognised a need for a local carpet cleaner and pest control in town, and launched Cleanwave Carpet Care and Pest Control in 2010.
As well as his Pest Management License, Noel is capable of tackling all Carpet and Tile Cleaning needs, trained by ACCI in Water Damage Restoration, and has fulfilled requirements to be a Master Technician in Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning. Only working to Australian Standards, he operates a very powerful truck-mounted Steam Cleaning machine.
