Lift your spirits with a Mandolin concert
Imagine an afternoon listening to music in one of the loveliest churches in Gympie, with the beautiful sounds of mandolin, classical guitar and piano.
Sue Flower performs with friends in a mainly classical concert, featuring mandolin, guitar and piano. Sue welcomes her good friends Fiona Horbach and Werner Ruecker to Gympie and is thrilled that they will be joining her, and local friends Pam Graham and Lucien Lowe in the concert.
Fiona is from Sydney. She is a wonderful mandolin player and member of “Plektra” an ensemble based in Sydney who perform a mixture of classical mandolin music and contemporary musicwritten by the renowned Australian mandolin player and composer Stephen Lalor.
Werner is from Melbourne. An experienced classical guitarist and guitar teacher he also conducts the Melbourne Mandolin Orchestra.
Pianist Pam and guitarist Lucien are both well known in the Gympie area for their amazing musicianship, and have performed with Sue on many occasions including Mandolin Magic in April 2013.
The concert will be at St Peter’s Anglican Church, Lady Mary Terrace, Gympie on Sunday 3 May 2015 at 2pm. Entry is $10.
See you there!
