Enjoy The Coast With Dad This Month
Enjoy one of many easy local bushwalks. This is the stroll up to the Sand Blow – doesn’t take long, then you get to enjoy the view.
September means spring – and also Father’s Day! Celebrate the father-figure in your life by taking advantage of all the amazing outdoor activities our region has to offer.
Go Fishing
He may be all fished out after the Fishing Classic…nah, not possible! Father’s Day is as good an excuse as any to drop a line and enjoy the world-class fishing our area is famous for.
Take a Stroll
Use the day to do one of many great bushwalks in the region. From easy strolls just outside of town to the famous Cooloola Great Walk (you’ll need more than one day for this one!), get your boots on and fill your lungs with clean bush air.
Surf Together
The water is warming up so get your boards out and get in the surf – get dad to teach you how if he hasn’t already! Or maybe it will be you teaching him. Our beach is an ideal location for all levels of surfing so get out into those waves.
Get in the Garden
With spring now upon us it is a great time to spend a day in the garden together, tidying up and maybe planting some native plants and trees.
Sit and Chill
Finish the day with a cheese platter or grab some takeaway and watch the sunset over the water at Carlo Point. Or get your bums on the beach and watch the waves crash as the day comes to an end.
