Avoid fatigue and stop for a break at Gympie on Friday, July 7
With the school holidays coming to an end this weekend you can expect to see more vehicles on our roadways within Gympie.
If you are intending on travelling a long distance, please take regular breaks to avoid fatigue.
Gympie police are hosting a free road safety stall this Friday, July 7, between 9am and 12pm at Lake Alford in Monkland (Gympie duckponds) to encourage motorists and their families to avoid fatigue and to stay alert.
Pull in, have a break, grab a free coffee and a bite to eat, and even take some activities with you to keep the kids occupied for the journey.
If you know of someone travelling through Gympie this Friday, between the above times, please let them know they can stop for a break.
Remember, road safety is everyone’s responsibility so let’s all do our part to keep ourselves and others safe on the roads.
