Yacht Club has plenty to celebrate

The Yacht Club celebrated the Melbourne Cup in style

The big news is that the club is turning 40!

Several of the Club’s Flying Fifteens and crew attended the Flying Fifteen National regatta at Sandgate in October. The overall winner was from RQYS with 2 TCBYC boats taking 4th and 5th place: Reliance 22 skippered by Nicky Magyar and Cool Bubbles skippered by Ken Bubb.

The handicap trophy was won by Di and Graham Lee in Flying Fandango.

The Melbourne Cup was celebrated with games, prizes for the best dressed female and male, a delicious, seemingly never ending lunch including delightful desserts following the all important race. A few people left financially advantaged having been lucky with the sweeps.
