We are so lucky to have such a wonderful school in our community
Thank you from Rainbow Beach State School P&C!
It’s hard to believe that this year is drawing to a close already. It is a good time to reflect on events and be grateful for all things wonderful!
Firstly, we are delighted that the permanent Principal position has been filled by Mr Steve Bennett.
Our small school needs a leader that can build a culture of kindness and respect, a sense of belonging, and a thirst for learning in a safe environment, and we are fortunate enough that Mr Bennett meets all these needs and more.
The P&C would like to sincerely thank Mr Bennett for his dedication to the students, school and his involvement in every event that takes place.
Secondly, we would like to extend our deepest gratitude for the immense support that the Rainbow Beach Community has given to the school and P&C.
We have been involved with several events, such as The Big Summer Blowout, The Sandcastle Competition, Variety Jet Trekkers lunch, Father’s and Mother’s Day stalls, Clean Up Australia, Rainbow Beach Market BBQs, Springfest and The Great Gympie Duck Race.
In every single event, we have received support from most local businesses in the form of donations, Community Hall sponsorship, local group support (thanks Bingo ladies!) as well as time and effort from community volunteers and parents/caregivers.
We will thank each of you directly, as it would take up half the paper if we did it here! But, please know that we acknowledge ALL of you, and are warmed by your generosity.
Our eager Preps have had a wonderful year
Thank you Rainbow Beach Community!
We would also like to bring attention to our very own wonder woman, Chappy Ronnie. If you haven’t met her yet, then you are missing out!
This kind lady goes above and beyond her role as Chaplain and brings warmth and an abundance of creative ideas to learn and connect. Chappy has breathed new life into the school garden, and we are so thankful for her presence.
Lastly, we wish to congratulate all the students and staff for giving their best during the school year. For some students it was their first experience, and some it was their last. It is wonderful to see all the students progress, and wish them all the best for their futures.
The teaching and support staff have done an amazing job of taking care of our children and our hats go off to them!
Wishing you all a fantastic Christmas and holiday break!
