Rainbow Beach’s very own International Women’s Day Festival is gearing up for a fashion parade, and part of that is a model castings and scouting call.
Jacinta Richmond, Founder and Director of the Sunshine Coast International Fashion Festival (2008 – 2018) and international Fashion Industry Mentor and Speaker, is guiding and supporting the locals with the International Women’s Day fashion parade, and she is looking for models to be a part of this great community event.
“It’s an open casting call, which means you do not have to be signed modelling agency to try out,” said Jacinta. With the search for women aged 15 – 85, it is an opportunity for everyone.
“It is important that guests watching the fashion parade can see themselves in the clothes being modelled. That’s why I always cast women of all shapes and sizes and ages, where the labels themselves permit me to do so.”
But, wait! It’s not just a casting all, it is also a scouting call. Jacinta is bringing Jo Sheils, Director of international modelling agency, Hunter Model Management to castings with her. Jo will be looking for talent that is not signed with an agent, talent that she can take to the next level locally and globally. Jo was an international model herself, beginning her career 30 years ago. She has been a widely respected Model Scout for Australian and International agencies for many years and manages her own talent through Hunter Model Management.
Being a community event, a small selection of professional models will be paid. Others will gain experience, contacts and hopefully … be picked up and signed by Hunter Model Management.
Come along and try out your luck.
