Jay with another quality Red fishing on Baitrunner last week

Hi all. We hope you all had a happy and safe Easter break, even though it was a very wet one.

Fishing outside has really started to fire up, especially the closer in grounds which have been producing quality scarlets and sweetlip, along with some cracking cod and plenty of snapper.

Snapper have been a bit hit and miss, however when on, they are in good numbers for this time of the year, so let’s hope it might be a good season ahead.

Out wider, large tuskies have been thick and a regular catch. Quite a few nice Red Emperor coming over lately along with wrasse, husser, pearl and Moses perch, jobfish and trout.

Along the beaches a few nice Jew have been landed, and some hot sessions on large tailor in the 70-90cm range, which is awesome fun and a great fight at that size. The new moon seems to be the go for these monsters.

Till next time, safe boating!
