Nominations soon closing for Australia Day Awards

Council is encouraging residents to shine the spotlight on the Gympie region’s achievers on Australia Day 2019; people who have contributed to our region’s culture, excelled in sport or made positive contributions to our community.

Nominations are now being accepted across eight categories; including Citizen of the Year (adult and youth), Cultural Award (adult and youth), Sports Administration, Sports (adult and youth), and Community Event of the Year.

The event celebrates individuals who go above and beyond for the good of their community.

Submissions close 4pm, Friday December 7, 2018. Nominate online at gympie.qld.gov.au/australiadayawards.
