No doughnuts here
by Senior Constable Mick Emery
Doughnuts on the beach could see you on the wrong side of The Lawes.
Fitness enthusiast Senior Constable Adam Lawes (pictured) has no time for doughnuts of the sugar-coated variety nor for that matter, can he stomach doughnuts involving vehicles spinning recklessly on our beaches.
Enforcement of this type of activity, along with random breath testing, is dedicated to keeping our beaches as a safe family environment – not to mention protecting the natural environment.
While police from Tin Can Bay and Rainbow Beach regularly pick up a coffee on the way to to conducting patrols along Rainbow Beach, Inskip Point, and Teewah Beach, the only doughnuts we look out for are those that can cost a driver $284.
You might say that the term ‘coffee and doughnuts’ means something a little different to us.
