It’s a surfing classic!
BJ Parton
The Rainbow Beach Memorial Classic was held in January this year, which was a perfect time to have it. The sun was shining, surfers were out and there were even a few waves, but you know what surfers are like! Could have been bigger!
There were at least 70 locals on the beach that day with 45 of them surfing in the Classic – it was great to see.
We started off our day at 7am over Double Island Point. The presentation was held at our new Clubhouse, Brent’s Burgers, and they did a fantastic job with catering and looking after us as everyone was a bit tired that afternoon.
A big shout out goes to Kroppy from the Rainbow Beach Sports Club, without him none of this would have been possible, so the boardriders thanks you!
