Gympie Police are appealing for information from the public in relation to a diamond ring.

On June 16 a 31-year-old Gympie man was dealt with by police for unrelated matters during which documents pertaining to a ring (pictured) was located.

The ring is described as a 18ct yellow gold, with a round brilliant cut diamond.

Police request anyone who recognises the ring and has had it or relating documents stolen, to contact Gympie Police on 5480 1111.
