Cooloola Cove Community Christmas was a Cracker!

Santa hands out sweet treats

They say rain can ruin an event however the H2O injection created messy old fashioned fun for the kids at the first Cooloola Cove Community Christmas and Carols. There’s nothing better than getting soaked in a jumping castle come water slide or by apple bobbing between showers.

Attendees enjoyed the afternoon keeping dry on the veranda sipping tea, eating cake or chomping down on a sausage. Some tried their luck on the chocolate wheel or got creative at the craft table.

The carols were led by Pastor Scott accompanied by ‘the Band’ and the CooloolaBay Choir even made an appearance. Santa had a sleigh issue but made it just in time to give out some Christmas cheer.

Everyone had a fantastic time and gave the inaugural event a double thumbs up!

A big thank you goes to Gympie Regional Council for CAG funds for the jumping castle, Woolworths Cooloola who donated the apples, Cooloola Cove Residents and Friends for supplying the BBQ, Cooloola Cove Veteran and Community Hall for use of the facility, Cooloola Wesleyan Methodist Church for the awesome carols and YAP for the youth games and craft.
