Bowls Club in Winning Form

Congratulations to the men’s Tin Can Bay pennants team – 5 wins from 6 games – completing the competition on top of the ladder for Division 2. The ladies pennants have played one game so far, with a win.

Thank you to all the members who have participated in the pennants, it does give us a chance to have some competition on the next level and an opportunity to represent Tin Can Bay. Well done to all with some fantastic bowls being played.

The annual ‘Queen of the Mountain’ was held in late July with Tin Can ladies triumphant. No, we did not have to run up the mountain as reported by one of the bar staff, I wonder who – just play three tough games in one day, in the rain.

Congrats Lorraine, Trish, and Rowena and thank you to Linda from Pomona who filled in for Ann. We do love the shiny medals.

Tin Can Bay Ladies Open is drawing near and will have been played by the time of publication (end of August). The Tin Can Bay Mens Open is 5 & 6 October so please get your nominations in – good prize money to be won.

The Tin Can  Bay Ladies Triples was won by Lorraine, Trish, and Rowena against a fighting Kerrie, Sandra, and Susan.

Good to see Beryl out and about again, enjoy your holiday and we look forward to your return. Ann has taken a little break and will return refreshed and ready for the next challenge.

New uniforms will be decided on at the next meeting, so see Ann and have your say. Please if you have some bowls photos to publish please get them to Rowena by the 16th of each month and include names.
