Are you ready to go for Bronze?

Rainbow Beach Surf Life Saving Club ran a Surf Rescue Certificate and Bronze Medallion course last month with ten enthusiastic participants.

These courses allow members of all ages to move from observers on the beach to full Surf Life Saving patrolling members.

The week-long course involved both theory and practical examinations where participants were tested on their beach and surf skills, plus rescue scenarios along with completing their first aid.

The club will be conducting an External Bronze Medallion course beginning in December.

The format of this version of the course allows participants to complete the theory part of the course in their own time and come along on selected weekends to complete their practical training.

If you are interested in becoming a Surf Life Saver this could be the course for you.
