Something has happened to our favourite princesses… and one is living amongst us!
Local Rebecca Grant (pictured) stars as Sleeping Beauty in a Gympie Theatre Association production called ‘The Real Princesses of Fairyland’.
Rebecca admits, “I love going to see musicals… but this is the first musical that I’ve done.
“I wanted to do something different – outside work, being a mum and sleeping!
“I thought it was just a play – when I found out it was a musical I said I would go ahead. I always like to act and have done plays at school – but not amateur theatre!”
But talent is in the family – Rebecca’s sister Vicki works as an acoustic guitarist and vocalist, her brother plays guitar and mum Marg was also in musicals.
Go and see our Sleeping Beauty, plus Rapunzel, Cinderella and more, 6.30pm at Gympie Golf Club, November 27 and 28 and December 4 and 5.
