Ram Horn Exercise Cancelled
Removing flood-damaged belongings from the streets in Murwillumbah
The 8th/9th Battalion for the Royal Australia Regiment were lined up to spend two weeks on the Cooloola Coast training for non-combatant evacuation operations at the end of March and early April…then the rains came.
The majority of the battalion were deployed to support flood recovery efforts in several local government areas in New South Wales as part of Operation Flood Assist 2022.
Due to the unknown duration of the flood recovery operational commitment, the timelines allocated for Exercise Ram Horn exceed the opportunity for a postponement.
