Fire and emergency station ready for opening
Our shiny new Fire and Emergency Services Facility is getting its finishing touches ready for its grand opening in mid-October. In a huge boost for our town, the facility will be able to accommodate both the Fire and Rescue Service and the SES and will create the equivalent of 8.25 full-time jobs.
A QFES spokesperson could not confirm an official opening date at time of printing but keep an eye out on the Community News Facebook page for updates.
