Cooloola Coast Probus Club Keep Busy

Twelve members attended the Cooloola Coast Medical Transport Fundraiser at the Little Bowls Club at the end of July. Two of our members, Graham and Val McClurg, were foundation committee members of our Medical Transport organisation.
Members enjoyed a rehearsal at our August meeting of the items we will present at the region Probus Clubs’ annual Friendship Day and Concert in September, instead of us having a Guest Speaker.
All our meetings have an Opener and a Closer presented by different members each month. Arthur read the poem that he found on a very old postcard that was his mother’s: Nine Miles from Gundagai. The Dog and the Tucker Box, by Jack Moses. Daryl closed with an animated joke.
Our monthly morning tea at the Snack Shack was not only a chance for a chat, but also an opportunity for some members to see the upgrade along the foreshore recently completed by Gympie Regional Council in that section.
