Armed Robbery – Cooloola Cove

Police are investigating the attempted armed robbery of a taxi driver in Cooloola Cove early last Wednesday, April 27 around 1am.
A taxi had been requested to attend an address in Mariposa Place and while the taxi driver waited two men have entered the vehicle. The men demanded money from the driver however he refused and the men have then left the vehicle and left the scene on foot in an unknown direction.
The two men are believed to be in their twenties and were wearing Halloween type masks. One man was wearing a green hooded jacket pulled over his head, the other was wearing a red coloured hooded jumper also pulled tight around his face to conceal his identity.
Police are urging anyone who may have seen or heard anything in the area around that time or who have any information that may assist to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
