A wonderful year full of fun, friendship and fellowship

Probus Wide Bay annual events include the Ecumenical Service in Gympie early in the new year and the combined Christmas lunch, when one club organises the event and invites other clubs to attend.
This year our club hosted the Christmas lunch at the Cooloola Coast Bowls Club and it was a great day with delicious food, wine, entertainment by the Ukulele Group and Pam and Len, together with several members of our own club. Of course, Santa also made an appearance with his bag of goodies.
In May, Probus Ambassador, Pam Carlson from Gympie, invited all Wide Bay clubs to attend the ‘Senior Moments’ play at the Brolga Theatre. Hundreds of Probians enjoyed this fantastic show presenting a great array of songs and skits involving seniors, played by well-known entertainers.
Some of the other highlights of the year were our 10th Birthday Celebration, attendances at Morning Melodies, Christmas in July, Meg Kiddle’s concert/dance, the Bone Museum in Gympie, CWA High Tea, Melbourne Cup lunch, as well as lunches and barbeques, sometimes joining with the Rainbow Beach Over 60s group.
