Young and Not-As-Young Enjoy Old Time Dance

Young and Not-As-Young Enjoy Old Time Dance The dance held in June was active for our 40 attendees. Patrons came from Monti, Gympie, Maleny, Goomboorian area, and Tin Can Bay.

Chris Doyle played very wittingly at times, even putting a Gypsy Tap on to have two young teenagers get up on the floor and join in. They are coming to our dance lesson on Saturday 1 July, from 3pm to 5pm. They are wanting to learn our country hall dances.

It is great to see them keen to dance. Mal and Karen are teaching very easy steps. Maybe you might like to try. Contact Julie 0428 824 115 for info.

The $50-value meat tray was won by Gary from Gympie which included a whole chicken (not a feather on it).

The fruit and veg tray ($40 value) was won by Mark who is a new patron to our dances. Well done men. Mark also won the lucky door prize.

Our next dance is Saturday 15 July. A themed dance: Xmas in July. A prize is available for the best dressed themed dancer.

Come along and join in a good social dance night. Country Hall Old Time Dances with music by Chris Doyle – one of our Queensland band The Wolverines members.
