Twilight walk, garage sale, craft and hoy
Wendy, QCWA President 0412547043
Well, how great it was to see everyone on the International Women’s Day Twilight Walk. We had 77 walkers all meeting at the end for a well-earned coffee, biscuits and fruit served by the CWA.
The first walk was held by QCWA in 1922, a tradition to this day. A special day for two of our members celebrating their birthdays, Jess and Linda, and thank you to everyone involved.
We had excellent donations for our QCWA Tin Can Bay Branch Garage Sale – the hall was full of treasured items, thank you to all the community.
We are still concentrating on domestic violence packs as they are much needed. Our members recently donated 68 Trauma Teddies, octopuses, preemie beanies and booties to Wishlist – start knitting ladies, the box is empty.
Hoy was on St Patrick’s Day fun morning, the Easter Eggs raffle was won by Jean, and the door prize Easter egg was won by Dianne – well done ladies. Happy Easter to all.
We have booked Macramé teaching in May with Sarah. Thank you for community support, come along for a cuppa on craft mornings, April 7 and 14, 9.30am till 12, at 18 Whiting St, Tin Can Bay or Hoy morning on April 21 at Cooloola Bowls Club, 9.30 for 10am.
