Beautiful weather drew a big crowd for our June markets. So many new stallholders came (despite the cold start) that we added another row. We also got great feedback on the talented indie songwriter Lucy Gallant.

The next markets will be on 9 July from 8am till 1pm, come and enjoy a great day out, with local musician Tina Goodwin providing the live entertainment.

We received numerous responses to the public consultation survey on design themes for the water tower mural. The majority want it to reflect some aspect of our natural surrounds.

Responses closed on 24 June, so we now have a brief for artists, then a selection process involving displays of proposed artwork at various points around town for further community input. All going to plan, the artwork will start in August and be completed by September.

Our AGM was held on 7 June with a good roll up of members. We now have 108 members and are still growing, so we must be doing something right.

President Elisa Seul was returned unopposed. A known face Fiona Hawthorne returned to become Secretary, and a newer resident James Koek was elected Treasurer. Thanks very much to our outgoing Treasurer Kelly Smith and Secretary Marnie Kropp for their work.

Thanks, too, to the other regular volunteers like the BBQ Boys and our office volunteers who are there to assist with enquiries of all kinds. Why not say hello at our Friday Catch-up held at the hall 9-11am every fourth Friday.
