2013 Glenwood Swap Meet, Car and Bike Show and Charity Concert
On Saturday 17th August the Glenwood community is expecting a big turnout this year to celebrate their 10th Annual Glenwood Swap Meet, Car & Bike Show & Charity Concert which has been attracting approximately 4,000 visitors over the years to their award winning event. This event has received some funding from the Fraser Coast Council to help stage this event for the benefit of the community.
All the artists and people involved have donated their precious time to help make the day a huge success with all money raised going back to our local community.
The gates open at 7am and the huge variety concert starting at 8am and winding up at 4pm. With a small entry fee of $3 Adults and Children under 12yo Free, makes it a cheap day out for the family to enjoy all the attractions of the day.

This event is not just a Car & Bike enthusiast’s heaven, it is filled with something for everyone. The 170+ buy, sell & swap sites to browse through have everything you can think of from car & bike parts, collectables, plants, bric a brac and more.
The popular variety Concert with its 11+ acts is a hit every year showcasing some of best entertainment on the coast today.
Starting at 8 in the morning the concert has a variety of music to cater to all music lovers starting off with the laid back music-Country-Alternative Folk –Blues- Rock n Roll thru to the latest tunes in the afternoon.
This year’s headline act is blues band Barry Charles & The Deeper Beat followed by rock n roller and vocal impressionist Billy Guy struttin’ his stuff on stage supported by the Gold Dust Rockers kickin’ up their heels on the dance floor showcasing some lively rock n roll dance steps for all to enjoy.
Also taking to the stage are some of our well known talented local singer songwriters and bands Cool Lula, Fox Duo, Zeta Burns & Ian Hands, Flyin’ Ferrets, Further From Yesterday, KT Express, Amanda Fox, Wayne Johansen and more.
Don’t miss the Car & Bike Show presentations and the huge charity Monster Raffle with 70 fantastic multiple draw prizes donated by our generous business houses including a 125BSE 4 stroke pit bike and an electric guitar being drawn on stage at 1pm. After browsing thru the swap site and the kids have finished enjoying the rides, why not sit back and relax with the family, have some delicious food, maybe a beer from the bar and spend the day enjoying the music with the added comfort of the shade
