Weather no good for golf in March
Unfortunately we were plagued with wet weather for a good part of March causing the postponement of the Men’s Matchplay event as well as Ladies 4BBB Stroke championships..
The Ladies will now be playing this event on 27 and 29 April to avoid clashing with other events later in the year.
Veteran Mens 54 hole should also have been played, and their Foursomes will now be played on 19 April for first round and 26 April for the second round.
The Greens staff have been having difficulty getting tractors onto the course as they have been trying not to bog them. Clearing of fallen trees has also been an issue. Despite this the course is in fairly good condition.
James is still taking bookings for people wishing to learn to play golf and others wishing to brush up their skills.
Anyone wishing to become golf members can talk to the staff at the front counter of the Country Club. They will help with the necessary paperwork.
Want to have a social game or competition game? Ring the Pro Shop on 0409 727 577, or call into the Pro Shop and the staff will take care of your needs.
Covid rules keep changing , and the Country Club abides by the current regulations
Until next month, stay safe and keep golfing.
