TMR Works in Rainbow Beach
The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) is installing a pedestrian refuge on Rainbow Beach Road between Cypress Avenue and Double Island Drive, to provide a formal crossing point for pedestrians.
The project includes the installation of a concrete median pedestrian island, warning signs, a lighting upgrade and kerb ramps with Tactile Ground Surface Indicators.
Works are expected to commence in April 2022 and take around two weeks to complete, weather permitting. Works will generally be undertaken Monday to Friday between 6am and 6pm. Some periodic night and weekend work may also be required.
Changed traffic conditions will be in place, and there may be traffic delays during the works. Up-to-date information about changed traffic conditions will be available at www.QLDTraffic.qld.gov.au or download the QLDTraffic App.
