Our State Conference held at the Brolga Theatre in Maryborough was a great success. There were over 350 delegates at the conference, which was held over four days, including an Expo which was open to the public.

State competitions were judged and Tin Can Bay branch received two highly recommended – Bev for her rug and Wendy for her beekeeper.

On behalf of the Tin Can Bay branch, our president, Wendy, forwarded our donation for the Public Rural Crisis Fund to State President, Christine.

A cooking demonstration was held at our branch hosted by Country Kitchen, which is a program administered by QCWA, where we had an attendance of 14. The demonstration was to introduce healthy eating. Sessions next year will be open to the public where everyone is welcome in conjunction with QCWA.

Important dates for December are Craft on the first Wednesday of each month at 10am and Hoy on the third Wednesday of each month at 10am – $7 entry.
