During the past few weeks, the weather has cleared and has provided opportunities for fishing in both inside and outside waters.

Reef fishing reports include catches of snapper, pearl perch, tusk fish and cobia. Inside waters have been producing bream and whiting, good sized flathead, some flounder, summer whiting and a few squid.

The Tin Can Bay Fishing Club $1,000 cash raffle winners were: First Prize $1000 – Amy Polzin, Langshaw; Second Prize $150 – Molly Leggett, Tin Can Bay and Third Prize  $50 – Carol Slockee, Kia Ora.

Congratulations all and we thank all our community members for their support.

Club members have recently completed the landscaping around the club buildings in Dolphin Avenue. There have been many complimentary comments from locals and visitors regarding the excellent work that was undertaken by team members.

Members of our community are invited to attend our Club Open Day which will be held at 10.30am on Saturday October 6, 2018.

The Open Day will provide our club with the opportunity to acknowledge and thank the Gympie Regional Council, the Queensland Government, Lee Fishing Company, Bunnings Gympie and our many supporters and sponsors.

The Tin Can Bay Fishing Club Annual General Meeting will be held at 4pm on Wednesday October 10 at 33 Dolphin Avenue, Tin Can Bay. The Annual and Auditor’s Report will be presented to members at the meeting.
