The local Rainbow Beach cricket team will play in the Lionel McBride Memorial Cricket Match again the Harlequins at Carlo Road, Rainbow Beach on February 15 from 12.30pm.
The match was instigated by the team in memory of their scorer, Lionel McBride, who sadly passed away after a brief battle with lung cancer on Australia Day 2018.
Lionel’s wife Edith still resides in Rainbow and their children and grandchildren will travel up from Brisbane for the event and they would love to see you there.
The family are touched by the respect the boys have shown Lionel in remembering him with this yearly event, and will present the Lionel McBride Memorial Trophy to the best and fairest player of the match on the day.
