Rainbow Beach State School News

A word from your Principal

Steve Bennett

While the final curtain closes on 2020 and we find ourselves in the middle of the summer holidays, I hope that all of our wider school community have been able to take a break, rejuvenate and spend some quality time with friends and family.

There were many occasions throughout 2020 that school life seemed to be happening at a frenetic pace and the challenges of COVID were ever present. Despite these challenges, great things happened.  As we look forward to 2021 we will be building on the great work of past years and continue to improve the quality of education for every child at Rainbow Beach State School.

To our graduating Year 6 students, I would like to congratulate each of them on their achievements and wish them every success in the future. We are all very proud of the fine young men and women they have become, they are a credit to their families and themselves.

We are excited to be planning and preparing to see our new and returning students join us for 2021.  Our vision for 2021 and beyond is not only “Reach for a Rainbow” but for all of us to strive to reach higher, see further and shine brighter!

Year 6 graduate!

With all the disruptions to the school year over 2020, we were very lucky to still be able to celebrate the annual Year 6 graduation dinner at the Sport and Rec Club.

This year we had nine graduating students – Tabitha Permezel, Jahli Parton, Daisy O’Neill, Hamish Lindenberg, Jake Lattanzi, Luke Lattanzi, Kody Fitzgerald, Bailey Sanderson and Kysen Dent.

Congratulations to awardees: English Academic Award and Peer Award: Tabitha Permezel and Maths Academic Award: Hamish Lindenberg.

To those families who have completed their Rainbow Beach State School days, the school community would like to thank them for all the support they have given to the school over the years – The Parton’s, The O’Neill’s, The Fitzgerald’s and The Lattanzi’s.

The staff would like to wish all the graduating students ‘all the best’ on their future schooling endeavours.
