Rainbow Beach welcomes European media plus 300,000 beach visitors!

In early September, Destination Gympie Region with Visit Sunshine Coast and Tourism and Events Queensland will host a group of eight European tourism media in Rainbow Beach.

The group represent media from Switzerland, Austria, France and Germany and write for some of the leading newspapers and magazines in Europe.

Further to this visit, two of the media contingent will return to do a dive with Wolf Rock for specialist Dive publications. Great news for our region!

On Tuesday September 18, Destination Gympie Region will conduct an Industry Ready workshop for all interested parties. The workshop will discuss the tourism industry, how it operates, how to engage the international market and the role your business can play. Additionally there will be financial advice for small business operators. This workshop will be held at Coffee Rocks from 9am and is free for all businesses. To RSVP contact Gail McKenzie on 5480 5180.

Did you know? The latest beach numbers from Surf Life Saving Queensland indicate that Rainbow Beach is on track to have over 300 000 beach visitors in 2018! This figure has been calculated using SLSQ information as they conduct a daily count of beach users and provide monthly updates to Gympie Regional Council.
