QCWA Keeping Very Busy in June

Country Kitchen display at the RSL where Gabriella and Mollie gave a presentation to RSL members and guests.

We have had a lot of fun this past month.

The ‘Under 8s Day’ was held at the Tin Can Bay School with our Branch joining in with a QCWA Country Kitchen stall, having games and guessing the pasta in a jar, and enjoying a piece of fruit. Our members were kept busy with the children eager to take part. Fun morning.

Our Craft mornings are popular, we have even had the heating on, coffee and cake always goes down well. We were joined by Lorraine who showed us ladies how to crochet a flat poppy, very easy to make and they look great – soon to be on sale.

Gabriella gave a talk at the Tin Can Bay RSL on healthy eating, and Mollie gave a talk on what QCWA do.

Our ‘Sconversation’ morning tea, displays and raffles posters have gone up around town – being held 11 August for our 100 year birthday, $10.00 a head at Cathy House. Come join us for our celebration and support our wonderful organization.

Craft mornings: $2.00 Wednesday 6 and 13 July, 10am at 18 Whiting Street Tin Can Bay

Hoy: $7.00 Wednesday 21 July at Cooloola Bowls Club, 9.30 for a 10am start.
