QCWA Competition Time!

QCWA State Conference Knitting CompetitionHave you ever snapped an awesome photo, knitted a fabulous item, crocheted a fantastic blanket, arranged a perfect floral table centerpiece or sewed a great outfit? Wouldn’t it be nice to have that hard work admired and appreciated?

The Tin Can Bay QCWA Branch has several competitions open to the public and they are a perfect opportunity to display your talent.

Photography entries are due by June 5 and can be dropped into the Craft morning tea that day (at 18 Whiting Street, Tin Can Bay) or beforehand by contacting Lorraine on 5486 2226.

Knitting and crocheting, dressmaking and floral art are all due in July; contact Branch President Jess Milne to register your interest to receive due date notification.

If you like to get busy in the kitchen then the cookery competition might be right up your alley. Categories include cakes, slices and preserves; there is even a section for a simple packet cake mix making this is a perfect excuse to don an apron and get that spatula out!

A full list of all the competition schedules and competition rules can be found on the QCWA website at www.qcwa.org.au/what-we-do or contact Jess on 0411 218 254. Schedules can be emailed out, just send a request to qcwatcb@gmail.com as there are way too many categories to list!

Now go get creative!
