Probus inspired to walk
Katrina van den Brenk
Maggie Travers gave a lively talk on the benefits of joining the Tin Can Bay Heart Walkers group at the Cooloola Coast Probus Club meeting in July, encouraging members to join their group.
A dozen of our members supported the Cooloola Medical Transport Christmas In July luncheon at the Little Bowls Club.
Members then joined with Probus members from the Gympie and Maryborough clubs at the end of August for a day of barefoot bowls and lunch at the Cooloola Country Club, although some elected to play cards, board games or just have a chat.
Early September will see us going up to Hervey Bay to the annual district Probus Friendship Day and Concert. These are always a great day out. A group will also attend an open day at Brewery Hill Gardens, Southside.
Meetings are held on each second Monday of the month at 2pm at the Sandcastle Motel in Tin Can Bay, and include a break for afternoon tea and a chat.
