Over 60s test out the Mary Valley Rattler

A recent Thursday saw our excited group head to Gympie for our long-awaited trip on the Rattler. Of course, the morning started off with a lovely morning tea at the station first, then it was all aboard.
We felt like kids on their first train ride. It was very interesting to see the countryside from a different perspective. Our conductor, Michelle, gave us a running commentary and history of the region’s as we clickity-clacked along the track.
Finally we pulled into Amamoor Station, where we had lunch at the little cafe; then back on board and homeward bound.
A thoroughly enjoyable day. Our next morning coffee meeting will be July 2 at the Rainbow Beach Surf Club, at 10am. Enquiries phone Dorothy on 54862357.
