Mother’s Day Classic – Walk for Breast Cancer Research
On Mother’s Day a sea of pink will descend on the Tin Can Bay foreshore in support of breast cancer research.
The Mother’s Day Classic is an annual fundraising walk that raises funds with the view to kick cancer’s butt! So make this Mother’s Day extra special by registering for the MDC and taking a return stroll from Wes Mitchell (skate) Park up to Crab Creek and back along the picturesque Tin Can Bay foreshore.
There will be on the day registrations available from 8am at the sign on tent in Wes Mitchell Park. The official welcome will be at 8:45am and will include a minute’s silence with the Classic kicking off at 9am.
Full registration is only $36.95, concession is $32.95, and children (3-12) are $19.95. There are medallions to the first 50 who register either online or on the day.
Everyone is encouraged to be fun and funky in pink attire, there will be awards for best dressed so get creative! A big shout out goes to the ladies from the Tin Can Bay QCWA Branch who will be assisting with registrations and water stations and preparing fresh fruit for the finish line.
So, lace up those runners and throw on your pink tracksuit for the 2022 Women in Super Tin Can Bay Mother’s Day Classic on Sunday 8 May.
