Kids Learn To Sew – Advanced
Gympie Library – Tuesday 6, 13, 20 and 27 September 3.30 – 4.30pm
Finished the beginner and Intermediate course and looking for some new sewing projects? Join us as we expand your knowledge of sewing by learning how to sew from a pattern. Participants will be required to bring their own fabric. Spaces are limited so booking is essential. Suitable for ages 8 – 12 years.

Junior scientists mix seaweed-derived chemicals together to create a range of delightfully disgusting polymer bubble worms, fish eggs and other oddities. Suitable for ages 5 – 12years. Bookings Essential.

Junior scientists are talked through the various procedures required to manipulate common polymers to create super glow in the dark bouncy balls that they will then get to take home. Suitable for ages 5 – 12years. Bookings Essential.
Sew your own Scrunchies and Bows

Join us at Gympie Library to sew your own custom banner that you can hang in your room. Suitable for children aged 8 – 12 years. Bookings Essential.
Street Science: Slime and Snow
Tin Can Bay Library – Wednesday 21 September 10 – 11am

Junior scientists get to mix chemicals (safe ones) together and watch the amazing change from liquid to ooey-gooey, glow-in-the-dark bubble slime right before their eyes. Junior scientists will also get to make instant snow and watch this amazing polymer expand to 100 times its original size to create piles of soft, fluffy fun. Suitable for ages 5 – 12years. Botzees

Learn how to build and program your own robot with Botzees. Botzees are fun interactive robots that help to inspire early learners to explore coding concepts like sequencing, looping and conditional coding through an intuitive and visual programming language.
