Armchair Travellers – Pompeii Virtual Tour

Join us as we are transported to faraway locations without ever leaving the library. This will be a wonderful evening as our tour guide talks to us over a virtual feed about an exciting topic. This month we will be travelling to the lost city of Pompeii to look at the life and decadence forever preserved in ash with a Pompeii Virtual Tour. Bookings Essential.

Fiveways – Thursday 3 March at 10am

Join us for a Walk & Talk along Mary Street from the Fiveways to Smithfield Street. We look at the history of some of the buildings, what they looked like back in the day and learn about some of the shopkeepers in those buildings. Meet us at the Fiveways, wear good walking shoes and be prepared for a walk down our main street. Bookings Essential.

Book Clubs flourish throughout the Gympie Region, with more than 25 active reading groups currently accessing the multiple book-set collections of Gympie Regional Libraries.  If you’re an avid reader and would like to discuss the work of great authors with other book lovers, contact your nearest library branch today.

Tin Can Bay Mahjong –  Every Tuesday from 12.30-3.30pm

Join us at Tin Can Bay Library for a wonderful afternoon playing Mahjong. Mahjong is an ancient Chinese tile game of strategy, calculation and skill with a measure of chance. This group is open to everyone, young and old, wanting to learn this ancient Chinese tile game.

Rainbow Beach Art Group – First and Third Friday of each month at 10am
