It’s Nippers and Bronze Camp time
The sun is shining and the water is warming up which can only mean one thing – it is time for Nippers again!
Nippers is for kids aged 6-13 years to learn surf safety and skills through games and sports – and most importantly to have fun.
Don’t miss the sign-on days for this season:
Saturday September 11, 12-2pm at Deep Blue Aquatic
Saturday September 18, 10am-12pm at Rainbow Beach Pool
Rainbow Beach Sports Centre has very kindly agreed to open the pool up early – and at no charge – just for the sign-on day. The Surf Club thanks them for their support.
Any older kids looking for something interesting to do in the school holidays?
Bronze and SRC camps are running from September 26 – October 3.
This week-long intensive course is available to anyone looking to join Rainbow Beach Surf Club’s great life-saving team.
If you are aged 13 to 15 years you can enrol in a Surf Rescue Certificate and Resuscitation Award (SRC) and become a junior patrol member.
It’s a great chance to learn some new skills, meet some amazing people and do good for your community.
And if are you aged 15 or older why not gain your Bronze Medallion?
It’s a one-of-a-kind experience where you will get to make a difference in the local community and learn how to save a life.
Rainbow Beach Community News is a long-time supporter of Nippers and Surf Life Saving, with all of our kids (both past owners and new!) taking part in this wonderful program.
No matter who you are, or what your background is, everyone is welcome in Surf Life Saving and there is a role for everyone, no matter your skill level.
