Great Things in Store for The Community Shed!
The Tin Can Bay Community & Men’s Shed has been bursting at the seams but, thanks to the successful outcome of two grants in the later part of 2021, construction of multiple storage sheds on our site is becoming a reality.
Drafted plans include a 4 x 12 lockable wood storage shed, an 8 x 6 multi-purpose shed, a smaller 3 x 3 shed to house our Containers For Change needs, and a further 12 x 4 awning for drying timber.
Earthworks have already begun to ready the site and construction is anticipated to start March/April after Council signs off on the Development Application. So, physically, our site will take on a bigger, better, and more organised atmosphere which will provide more flexibility in courses and activities.
If you’re new to the area and would like to meet new friends or if you have projects that you need help with, we’re here to help. From Monday 10 January 2022 we’ll be open every weekday (9am – 1pm) with some regular classes occurring some afternoons.
